The new wheelchair racing cabing was officially opened on Sunday 4th July by Bedford Borough councillor Doug McMurdo.

The ceremony was attended by the racers, and their families.  The section has grown from a single participant after its formation in 2012, to 9 active racers.  The cabin was constructed by volunteers led by Howard Darbon, the section manager.  Thanks also go to the Harpur Trust, who provided funding, and Dunster house who significantly discounted the purchase price.  Councillor McMurdo was thanked and presented with a bottle of 'bubbly' by Varun Bandi, the founder athlete of Bedford Wheelchair Racing.
